A touch of Asia could be felt at the Bayern Innovativ premises at Tullnaupark at the beginning of March: a delegation from the Japanese region of Saitama was invited to discuss the transformation in the automotive industry with representatives of the Automotive Cluster and the transformation hub Bavaria.
The participants agreed that the transformation across borders, countries and continents is leading to a change in mobility and posing major challenges for OEMs and suppliers in the automotive value chain worldwide.
So it was interesting for both sides to learn what activities are being undertaken by both countries to support companies and industry in the transformation.
Bayern Innovativ provided interesting insights into the funding landscape in Europe, Germany and Bavaria and in particular also highlighted the network activities within the framework of the Automotive Cluster, the transformation network transform.by, the transformation hubs and the transformation pilot Automotive.
Visit from Japan: The intensive Asia-Pacific and European exchange provided interesting insights into the respective offers of support for the transformation.
Hisafumi Nishimoto, organizer of the delegation trip and representative of the Saitama City Foundation, appreciated the valuable encounter, which provided new impulses for both sides:
"We are pleased about the intensive Asia-Pacific and European exchange with Bayern Innovativ and partners to support the automotive value chain and to learn from each other. Different perspectives on challenges, market assessments and solutions can be helpful measures to strengthen the automotive industry."
